We remember John as a genuinely nice and caring friend. He always cared what was happening in other peoples lives and interested in their families. Our friendship was far too short, but our memories of John are long. John will be remembered as one of the good guys in a world that needs more people like him. Ann and family, we are here for you.

When Alyssa and I first heard about John's diagnosis...we were so incredibly saddened. I kept having a feeling of...this can't be happening. They're such good people. It's too soon. We love them!
John is such a gentle giant. A big, calm, easy-going teddy bear. I intentionally say it in present tense because I feel like his presence is still around us...comforting those who need it through this huge loss.
John left us WAY TOO EARLY. We had a lot of fun times

Ben was remembering what a good time all the guys (Larry,Ben,John,Gil,Gary) enjoyed when they had their poker night. Such good memories will always be a blessing.
Ann-- We love you and John and will always be there in any way we can.
God's Blessings.

Oh John--I shall miss you so very much--you always greeted me "Hi Kiddo-how you doing?" All the times you, Ann, Gil and I as well as Chloe and Murphy shared together...all the laughter and feeling of true friendship. You left us much too soon but we know you are now in peace and comfort. I will be there for Ann always. Murphy says one final "meow" to you. Friends forever, Pat P.S. I will make sure that Gil behaves himself!

John--I am sending you a "dear John" letter not to tell you that our friendship is over but that I hope to be so fortunate to meet you again someday. My memories of our friendship are so many--a person I could always trust, rely on when needed. A true gentle giant who loved to give me a hard time in general but especially about my 49'ers and Giants even though I would support your Broncos and Texans. I'll miss watching

John...I miss you already. So sad that you are gone but know that you aren't in pain or uncomfortable anymore. Just wish you didn't have to go so soon.
I hope you run into Joe up there & y'all can visit for a while.
RIP John. You will be missed terribly.
To Ann & Mike & the girls.... I am so so sorry for your loss.
Know that he is in a better place.
Wish I could make it there on Friday but I'm sure y'all will understand.
Stay strong & take one day at time.
Call if you need anything, anytime! I'll always be here!

John was a special, special man who leaves such a big void in the world. He was unfailingly kind, tolerant, and patient to all. John's spirit was a sweet and generous one in a very thoughtful person. To know him as a friend was a real privilege. And my dog Zazzy and I certainly appreciated John's loving, sensitive dog sitting when my dear friend Ann and I took off for the annual Longaberger Basket Bee. I really cherish memories of
