Carmelita S. Gonzales Obituary

Neil and I were deeply saddened to hear from Ben today of Carmelita's
passing. We have had the pleasure of knowing Carmelita and Danny in
Special Olympics Bowling for at least ten years now. We have gone to
Las Cruces together for State tournaments, and had a blast with them!
Carmelita was always such a sweet, friendly lady, and Danny was always
the funny one! They would always get up and dance together when no
one else would! We always sat with them, and felt

I am very saddened to hear about my Aunt Carmelita. I will always have my childhood memories of visiting her along with my sister Renee. I will always remember how kind she was to us. I love you Aunt Carmelita!

Peace my heart, let the time for the parting be sweet
Let it not be death, but completeness
Let love melt into memory and pain into songs
Let the flight through the sky end in the folding of the living over the wings of the nest
Let the last touch of your hands be gentle like the flower of the night
Stand still, O Beautiful End, for a moment, and say your last words in silence
I bow to you and hold up my lamp to light your way

Adapted from Rabindranath Tagore

Carmelita will be missed.

Regards,
Dr. Brown

My precious memory of Carmalita if from the week that she and Ben came to Austin, Texas on their honeymoon. We were so excited to get to meet the girl that had stolen Ben's heart. My husband and Ben had been stationed at Bergstrom AFB Austin, Texas. She was so sweet and we were so happy for them. An angel is now watching over Ben and the boys. Blessings to all and "Thank You" Lord for allowing us to be a small part of her life.

Mom, I cannot fathom you not on this earth. It's taken me awhile to find the words, which I still haven't grasped or concluded. You are my Mom, I only get one, and Dan, Matt and I were blessed that you are this person. Thank you for being the loving mother and grandmother you were to me and my son. Your daughter-in-law and grandson loved you very much. Junior lit up whenever his Grandma was mentioned. This planet will miss

I was so sorry to hear of Carmelita's passing. I've known Carmelita for over five years, and she has been unfailingly kind to me. Her smile lit up a room, and she was always more concerned with other peoples' difficulties than her own. To her family, especially Daniel, whom I had the pleasure of meeting about a year ago, please accept my sincere condolences.

Carmelita was a wonderful friend and mother. I knew her for many years, and built a strong relationship with her son, Daniel. She was a kind and giving woman, and her tamales were my absolute favorite.

Ben and Daniel, my thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of need.

I would like to say how sorry I am to her family and that we are praying for you all. From the first time I met Carmelita she was so loving and caring towards me and my boys. I got to see how much her grandchild Dominic Jr made her light up and how Junior was a grandma's boy. She will never be forgotten and she is now at peace with God and we all one day will be with her again.
