Condolence & Memory Journal

Although I never met Lila, she helped me termendously in my research through her endless indexing of birth, baptism, marriage, and death records here in NM. Just by seeing all of her hard work, I could tell how dedicated she was to helping others. She will be greatly missed and admired.

Thank you Lila for all of your hard work through the years!

Sincerely,

Eric Armijo

Mrs. Pfeufer was one of my favorite teachers. She was my fourth grade teacher at Eubank Elementary. That year my mother was diagnosed with lung cancer, and I remember Mrs. Pfeufer being very kind and compassionate during that difficult time in my life. I have thought of her often over the years. My sympathies to the family.

Lila was a dedicated volunteer for the New Mexico Genealogical Society and spent many hours helping to transcribe early church records. She was (and will always be) very much appreciated.

I served as a volunteer with Lila at the Museum of Albuquerque Photoarchive in the 1990s. Her knowledge of the people of the city was vast and impressive. She lived life to the fullest and she will be missed. I was sorry to hear of her death.

Dear Jeanette and Lila Ann,
It was so sad to hear about your Mom passing away. I spent some time with her a couple of years ago talking about her childhood in Albuquerque. She was really a dear person and one of Albuquerque's little known treasures. She is one person I wish I could have known better. Please know she was a beloved person and the grace she carried with her touched many people. Take care.
